after a long pause i try to catch up and post some projects using rhino and scripting for the design and production of free-form timber objects. here you can see a origami tower build out of timber panels. the object is a self-bearing folded plate structure. it's geometry has been generated by a script. a second script computed the parts and the machining data for integrated manufacturing. the sculpture was used as an eye-catcher for the exposition "Timber Project" hold in February 2010 at the EPFL.
