RhinoScript.org – bringing open source to architecture & design

The script developed for the MES - a micro-envelope system - is a first attempt to tackle the materialization of formfound vector-networks.
In this specific case we developed an algorithm to construct a 3-dimensinonal component on top of each vector of this larger network.
The shape of the highly parametric 3-dimensional component is based on the limitations of flat-sheet metal-fabrication (developable surface,) as well as structural demands for each component / strip.
