RhinoScript – seeking script to find and divide at centroid

    as a starting point I suggest you take a look at the "UV geometry library" in the scripts section. There is a function uv_areacentroid that calculates the centroid of an arbitrary polygon.
    It's written to work with 2D points (because I used it for polygons on NURBS surfaces), so if you have a planar polygon it should work. This function returns the centroid point which you can use to draw lines etc.

    i am in need of a script that finds the centroid of a shape (in this case an octagon with sides of unequal length) and then connects a line from that centroid to each "corner" of the octagon. it should then continue this operation on each resultant shape until a limit is reached. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
