    That worked like a charm. The problem I was having was distinguishing the point selected. I knew that asking for (2) called for the z-coordinate, but wasn't sure of the point order.

    hi, sounds like a good way to messure one upper corner...

    would be nice to see the code that we know the problem.

    try that one:

            Dim strObject   : strObject = Rhino.GetObject("pick object")
            Dim arrBbox     : arrBbox   = Rhino.BoundingBox(strObject)
            Call msgbox(arrBbox(4)(2))

    I know this seems like a really simple question, but I can't figure out the simplest way to get the height of a selected object. I thought of using the bouding box method then asking for the z coordinates of one of the upper-most corners, but I couldn't get it to work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
