    Thank you Hanno

that's exactly what i have been looking for.

    I use it like so:

    Rhino.GetPoint "Select a point"
' strMessage is left in command line
    Rhino.Prompt "..running..."
    ' overwrites commandline
    rhino.Sleep 5000
' on end of script promt falls back to command

    Regards

    Hi,

you can use Rhino.Prompt to change the prompt to anything you like.

    Hi

In a lengthy script i use getPoint(" Select a point").
Having selected a point my script runs all right.

But while the script is running that strMessage in the commandline is persisting until the next command or the script ends.
The user may think he still has to select a point!

Is there a way to get the normal prompt back?

    Thank you
