    ah, perfect! thanks for the help. i'll post the finished script when it's more refined.
    now to set the command preferences before instantiating the command so it works every time...

    Hi,

    have a look at Rhino.Pt2Str, that should do it.

    hey all, i'm trying to automate the rhino section command and am stuck trying automate the user input of the start and end points. i tried to use curve start points and end points but apparently you can't pass an 3d point array to the command line. any ideas?

            For i = 0 To UBound(arrSectionLines)

                    Dim arrSecStart : arrSecStart = Rhino.CurveStartPoint(arrSectionLines(i))
                    Dim arrSecEnd : arrSecEnd = Rhino.CurveEndPoint(arrSectionLines(i))
                    Dim strCmd

                    strCmd = "_Section " & " E " & " G " & " J " & " B " & arrSecStart & arrSecEnd

                    Rhino.Command strCmd

            Next
